Note: If your intentions are to purchase or build a hydrogen
producing generator that will totally power your motor/car/vehicle/truck,
think again. Electrolysis uses amperage. Your vehicle alternator is
limited to the amount of amperage it can constantly produce and
any amperage puts a strain on
your engine power.
Causing your engine to do extra work is not going to help. After all, you
are looking for better efficiency - right? You should also consider the fact
that your internal combustion engine was designed to be an air pump. HHO
does not need Air. That
air dilutes any amounts of HHO. So if you accomplish powering your engine with 100% HHO, it will be
diluted by the air --- by design. The engine pistons' movement sucks air in,
through the air intake valves, compresses it, and lets the air out through the air exhaust
valves, Air is an essential part of combustion for fossil fuels; that
is where the Oxidizer comes from. Oxidizers are needed in order to have
combustion. As
for HHO, air is not needed or wanted. HHO contains its own Oxidizer, a perfect air fuel
mixture of 66 and 2/3 % hydrogen and 33 and 1/3 % Oxygen. The presence
of air dilutes the new hydrogen fuel; which means it will not be as
powerful or as effective; Something to think about.
Your engine emissions computer is
programmed to maintain 14.5 to 14.7 parts air for each part of fuel vapor.
As mentioned, air is the oxidizer. It contains 10% to 20% oxygen. It is the
oxygen that is needed to burn the fuel. It is the oxygen that the engine
monitors in the exhaust. If oxygen levels are low, the computer calls for
less fuel. If the oxygen levels are high, the engine calls for more fuel.
Changing the Air ratio, even slightly, changes your fuel economy. This is
what the so called fuel experts tend to ignore. Slight changes in oxygen
content, make changes in fuel economy.
Keep Electrolysis
simple. Use HHO to "assist" with cleaner burning of your fuel by
using it as an additive to the Air. If you can
completely burn the fuel, your exhaust greenhouse emissions will be almost
non-toxic. That should be your primary goal. If you can accomplish that,
better fuel economy has a chance to follow. If it does not, then your engine
computer is preventing it. You will have to find a way to better control your air
fuel ratio. There are ways of doing that, but most are illegal (thank you
EPA for making good citizens into law breakers). Emissions computers could
be programmed to allow more Air, as long as poisonous exhaust gases are not
being produced. Instead of reading oxygen levels, how about reading Nox
levels, and CO levels. Those are the bad guys. Oxygen in the exhaust is
good. CO2 in the exhaust is good (it means that much CO completely burned).
Starting in 2011, the EPA started
enforcing Emissions Tampering Laws. If you, as an experimenter want to avoid
violating them, then keep your HHO production at a minimum so that the
emissions computer does not sense the excess oxygen. One way around the
oxygen problem is to use Separation Cells that create Hydrogen and Oxygen is
separate chambers. Discharge the oxygen into the atmosphere, and add the
Hydrogen to your Air System. The 14.7 parts Air will be enriched by the
hydrogen. The hydrogen will burn more of the fuel surrounding it. The
emissions computer is not going to measure as much oxygen in the exhaust, so
it will cut back on the amount of fuel it controls. Mission accomplished.
I will say it one more time, "HHO
is not a Fuel. It is an Air Additive".
"There are a lot of HHO Generators for sale on the web.
I have some advise that will help you decide which one is right for you."
First of all, Do not
buy on promises of Liters Per Minute, an attractive Marketing Strategy.
Most companies advertise how much HHO their Cells can produce. It
is a strong selling point, but LPM comes at a cost; Amperage; and
amperage increases the load on your engine's efficiency to turn.
HHO companies know this, so be aware that there
are companies that will tell you their cell can produce 2.5 LPM using
only 32 amps. Well, I have no doubt it can produce 2.5 LPM,
almost any cell can be made to do that. Personally, I would question the
32 amps; and so should you. That is one of
the reasons I built my Cell Configurator; to calculate the LPM, based on
the cells' plate configuration. If a cells' configuration requires 48
amps to produce 2.5 LPM, and the company states it does so using only 32
amps, buyer beware.
hho-plus.com is a prime example. Not only do they overstate the
LPM/Amperage, they only rate their Power Relay to be 30 amps.(for their
32 amps cell and their 50 amp cell).

If you doubt a companies product, email me the details. I will
check it out for you.
How much room do you have in your engine
compartment for a cell? How tall can it be? How wide can it be?
Will your generator need a bubbler? How big can it be? Where will it fit?
You need to know those things before you make that purchase. A lot of
installations are accomplished in front of the radiator, or behind the
radiator. Do not put the generator in the passenger compartment.
Container construction is one of the most important factors to
consider. The biggest problem is leaking. Avoid glass and plastic plumbing
pipe. They can be hazardous. Hot Glass shatters if cool water touches it. Heat causes Plastic Plumbing pipes
to get soft
and loose shape. Avoid aluminum containers if you plan on using caustic
or acid based electrolytes; potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide eat aluminum.
Acrylic, HDPE, CPVC, and Polycarbonate (lexan) are the plastics I recommend; with the exception
of high heat Nylons. However, Polycarbonate can not be used with KOH
(Potassium Hydroxide), it causes cracking: it will crack like safety
glass. In my opinion, Stainless steel makes the safest container.
I have listed a few reliable companies below, but you can find others
by Searching the web for HHO Generator, HHO Cell, Hydrogen Generators, Dry
Cell, etc..,
Don't get caught up in fancy words and advertised promises. If it
sounds too good to be true.... it probably is best to get my opinion.
Having a good quality product is important, but it needs to be supported
by good and reliable Customer Service
If they can't show you the HHO gas being produced,
stay clear, move
on. Most will not show you the inner works of their systems. That is ok;
but you at least need to see the output.
Know what you are buying. If you do not know and need help, then ask
me. I can tell you, without being biased.
Search the seller for fraud reports. example: seller name fraud,
or just seller name. There are a lot of website forums that talk about
this subject.
I know there are some good products and good companies available,
but be aware of a large number of scams.
Use my site to learn more about the subject.
My way of building these things is only an example for you to learn
from. You, my friend, need to find the MacGyver in yourself and adapt your
own ideas because your circumstances may be different. I show you the
principle of this process. Learn from it; plant the seed and grow it your
way.
Be advised, I do not sell these generators. I do not sell my
information. I do not have or provide schematics, drawings, files, DVD's,
or CD's that you can use to make these things with. Do not ask me to
change my mind; do not say you will make it worth my while. No means NO!

HHO2U Dry
Cell
11 plate configuration:
-nnnn+nnnn- (2 stacks of 6 plates)
3.5" x 3.5" 18 gauge 316L stainless steel
plates
This cell is not cheap made, it is quality.
They claim 2 liters of HHO per minute @ 15 amps
(I contest it)
I rate this configuration at 522 MLPM at 10 amps,
135 watts. 5 amps per stack is the maximum efficiency limit.
There is not enough surface area for higher amperage without introducing
excess heat.
It can produce 1 LPM at 19.2 amps, 259 watts
O-rings are 1/8", compressed to 1/16",
EPDM rubber, 260 degrees F (Inside Diameter Unknown)
Acrylic is 4"x4"x1/2 thick rated at 300
degrees
Hose barbs are 1/4"
Aluminum bracket
The output could be improved by
increasing
the number of plates, or by changing the gaskets to one with a larger
inside diameter. There is a lot of wasted plate surface area when using
this type of dry cell design.
The 3 holes in the plate stop the gas from
pulsing, the middle hole relieves pressure.
DJC7 Plans for
building your own - for sale on eBay
I do not agree with the wire connections here. It works, but does
not look professional. The stainless steel band, holding the copper
wire, is ok, but the strands of copper need to be soldered together, or
else a connector needs to be added to the end of the wire. Moisture is
going to get between the strands and cause the copper to corrode. This
should be an easy fix.
I am not so interested in his method of cooling the cell with those
white strips of thin metal. It looks gaudy. Besides, they take up extra
space that is most likely not available in your engine compartment. Just
my opinion.
This design looks like it has a hole in the bottom plate for the
water fill hose. A bubbler is needed.
I suggest making the electrical connection, for the outer tube,
close to or near the bottom. Believe it or not, that will make a big
difference. It will cause the magnetic field to surround the complete
length of each tube. This will help the HHO gases exit the top, instead
of hanging around. It will also cause the electrical current to flow
over more surface area. Ripley's believe it or not.
I would prefer the smaller, 6 inch cell that they offer; the one
with 8 tubes. Smaller is better.
They offer 3 sizes:
DJC86: 6 inch tubes, 8
tubes 1 in to 2.75 in, 3.2LPM at 40 amps (best in my opinion)
DJC76: 6 inch tubes, 7 tubes 1 in to 2.50 in,
2.4LPM at 40 amps
DJC712: 12 inch tubes, 7 tubes 1in to 2.50 in, 4.2LPM at 70 amps

Hydrostar
I know two people that have purchased plans for the Hydrostar System.
The person selling the system can not provide any support what so ever. He
refers you to some one else, that refers you to someone else. They never
got any of their questions answered after many attempts. That alone should
tell you something.
I have looked at the documentation you purchase. There is no way for
you to accomplish this project on your own. It is very techie. It is not
supported by enough photographs. There is nothing in the manual that shows
a photograph of the real deal; only drawings. They say the unit should be
available "Assembled and ready to install" by 2007. Has anyone seen it
yet?
Water for gas is a system using a glass jar and stainless steel wire.
Will it make HHO? Yes it will; but not very much. Two kitchen spoons can
produce more gas.
Does anyone have information to add?
HydraFicient
I have been warned that this company is a SCAM.
I am not one to
complain, but take a look at the HydraFicient cell running on a 12 volt
battery, using its Special Control Module. They advertise it will not work
properly with out the control module. Now their video says it produces 1 to
2 liters of HHO per minute.
Look closely, this is full production. I would estimate it would maybe
produce 200 milliliters a minute. Water level is just above the top of the
tubes. Absolutely no tiny bubbles.
The cell is made from almost all plastic; so they say.
